A Note from our Principal
Welcome to Wogaman 4-8 School. My name is Marvis Meeks and I am eager to start the 2012-2013 school year as your child’s principal. I have been an educator in Dayton Public Schools for eighteen years. My teaching and administrative experience spans from middle through high school. Our Dunbar Campus consists of Louise Troy PK-3, Wogaman 4-8, and Dunbar High. We will be working collaboratively to provide a seamless transition for students as they gain academic excellence.
As the beginning of the new school year approaches, I look forward to Opening Day. Opening day offers excitement and promise for educators and students alike. When our students return to school on August 15, we will have a great opportunity to make a difference in their lives. Our staff possesses the knowledge and know-how to stimulate curiosity in the minds of children.
Students will be required to wear either navy blue or light blue collared shirts and khaki pants, shorts, or skirts. Sandals and flip-flops are not to be worn. If you have any questions regarding our uniform policy do not hesitate to call 542-5890.
Please note the following important dates:
Wednesday, August 15, 2012, 7:45 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., First Day of School
Thursday, August 23, 2012, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., Open House at Wogaman
See you then!
Sincerely,
Marvis Meeks
Principal
