Welcome to Dayton Boys Prep Academy

Greetings,

Welcome to Dayton Boys Prep Academy’s website, home of the Mighty Soaring Eagles!  Soaring to academic success and character development is our destiny. Each and every day, over 40 staff members work diligently to ensure the fundamental principles of our school’s mission:  excellence in learning, character, leadership and personal accountability, are integral components of the daily training and instruction of our young men, as we prepare them for the demands of a rigorous secondary education and eventually adulthood.

As Henry Wadsworth Longfellow so eloquently stated more than 175 years ago in his poem, “A Psalm of Life”:

"Lives of great men all remind us

We can make our lives sublime,

And, departing, leave behind us

Footprints on the sands of time;--"

Our young men are encouraged to embrace the moment by leaving their “footprints on the sands of time” through shared, collective and individual efforts in being a service to others. Similar to great and important men of the past, we are confident they will leave positive and fondly remembered marks on our society.

Finally when home, school and community work together in a cooperative partnership, academic success and character development are inevitable and thus flourish. Accordingly, let’s all make the commitment to give our young men our very best, as they continue their educational journey.

I am honored to serve the young men and staff at Dayton Boys Prep Academy!
