Structured Internet activities will limit student free surfing at school and help keep students on task and focused on an academic goal. Teachers should plan a structured lesson with specific information or tasks that students need to accomplish while on the Internet. A product (worksheet or report) should be produced by student to document work completed. Time to accomplish task on the Internet is allotted so that students are held accountable for their time. Teachers may also research and preview the best sites for information that they want students to locate and give the students the list or bookmark these sites.
