Board to hold meeting at Cleveland PK-8 School

06/01/2009

The Jan. 22 meeting of the Dayton Board of Education will take place at 6 p.m. at Cleveland PK-8 School, 1102 S. Pursell Ave.  The change of location is part of the board’s community outreach efforts, which include quarterly meetings at school sites throughout the district.

When the board established its 2008 meeting schedule at the Jan. 10 organizational meeting, four dates were set aside to take the meeting out into the community.  Tuesday’s meeting will be the first to be moved to a neighborhood school, rather than be held at the customary Jackson Center Auditorium location on Abbey Avenue.

Business meetings in January, April, July and October will be held as follows:

• January 22 – Cleveland PK-8, 1102 S. Pursell Ave.
• April 15 – Thurgood Marshall High School, 4447 Hoover Ave.
• July 15 – Kiser PK-8, 1401 Leo St.
• October 21 – Wogaman PK-8, 920 McArthur Ave.

All other informational and business meetings will be held at the Preschool Center at Jackson, 329 Abbey Ave., in the auditorium.
