Community invited to walk through former Fairview High School
Auction, walk-throughs scheduled for mid-September
Dayton Public Schools will invite the community to bid farewell to the former Fairview High School, 2408 Philadelphia Drive, with two public walk-throughs and a public auction. The schedule is as follows:
Friday, September 17, 2010 - Auction Preview (11 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
Saturday, September 18, 2010 - Auction and Public Walk-through (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.)
Saturday, September 25, 2010 - Final Public Walk-through (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
Fairview High School opened in 1929 and served high school students for five decades until it was converted into a middle school in 1982. The building was most recently home to the students of Edison PreK-8 School, who were awaiting construction of their new school which opened this year. The building was closed at the end of the 2009-2010 school year.
