The Mission of the Office of Safety & Security for the Dayton Public Schools is to work with all members of the district community to preserve life, maintain human rights, protect property and promote the goals of the district to give each child the best education possible.

The Objective of the Office of Safety & Security for the Dayton Public Schools is to enhance the quality of life in our schools by working cooperatively with staff and the community within the guidelines of Dayton Board of Education Policies and Procedures to enforce the Code of Conduct, preserve the peace, reduce fear and provide a safe environment.

The Vision of the Office of Safety & Security for the Dayton Public Schools is to work in collaboration with the five goals of the district:

Provide a high quality education for college and careers. 
Guarantee that our schools are safe and secure.
Provide excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
Demonstrate fiscally responsible practices.
Earn the trust and support of the entire community we serve.
